We are proud to call Snoopy’s Home Ice our home rink. Built in 1969 by Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz, Snoopy’s Home Ice has earned its reputation as “the world’s most beautiful ice arena” and remains a beloved landmark in Northern California. As the resident professional ice theatre company, RITC is honored to partner with this iconic venue, where we share our passion for ice performance and bring world-class artistry to our local community.

HISTORY
History of Redwood Ice Theatre Company
Redwood Ice Theatre Company (RITC) began as an innovative offshoot of the Redwood Theatre Company (RTC), expanding its creative vision to include ice theatre as a cornerstone of its productions. What started as a desire to bring professional ice skating performances to the community quickly grew into Northern California’s premier professional ice theatre.
In partnership with the historic Snoopy’s Home Ice in Santa Rosa, RITC proudly calls the world’s most beautiful ice arena its home. Since its inception, the company has united professional skaters, including Snoopy’s Home Ice alumni, Olympic-level athletes, and world competitors, to deliver unforgettable performances for audiences.
RITC celebrates the elegance and artistry of ice theatre through dynamic, family-friendly productions that honor the magic of Snoopy and the legacy of Charles M. Schulz. These performances showcase the beauty and athleticism of ice skating, often featuring the beloved world’s most famous beagle, Snoopy, bringing joy and inspiration to the community.

Carmen Maria Mitchell, a singer, actress, and professional figure skater with Disney On Ice, brings her multidisciplinary artistic experience to RITC. Carmen is the founder of Redwood Theatre Company (RTC), the nonprofit umbrella organization supporting the arts in the community. Carmen’s experience in the performing arts offers a unique perspective that supports the artistic vision of Kim and Lisa.

Lisa Navarro, RITC’s Artistic Director, has over 50 years of experience in skating as an elite pair skater, professional performer, and choreographer. Lisa’s rich career includes directing and choreographing shows for Snoopy’s Home Ice, Woodstock Ice Productions, and more. As a principal skater and Associate Choreographer for Charles Schulz’s iconic Christmas shows, Lisa’s creative vision continues to inspire RITC’s performances.

Kim Navarro, RITC’s Skating Director, is a Two-Time U.S. Bronze Medalist and World Team member. With an impressive professional skating career, including performances in Stars On Ice and Broadway On Ice, Kim’s expertise elevates RITC’s productions. A Columbia University graduate, with a Master’s from Stanford University, Kim also serves as the Skating Director at Snoopy’s Home Ice.
